Completely volunteer-driven
None of our team members—surgeons, nurses, board members, founders, or officers—receive any form of salary
or financial compensation. Our organization is run entirely by volunteers who give their time, expertise, and passion, without any expectation of payment. This includes the surgical care we provide to children and the education we give
to local surgeons, medical teams, hospitals and universities. Your donation goes directly to making this possible.
Creating a larger impact
Our work goes far beyond treating individual children. By training local surgeons in advanced surgical techniques, we multiply the impact of our work. These trained surgeons are not only able to help more children, but they can also
teach others, creating a ripple effect of positive change that extends far beyond our reach. This model of “Operation Teamwork” ensures that our efforts have a lasting, sustainable impact on the communities and countries we serve.
Funding
Since our inception, funding has been solely provided by our founders, Dr. Pat and Maureen Sullivan. However, as the need for our services has grown, we have been fortunate to receive support from individuals that share our vision. This growing support allows us to expand our services, helping more children, training more surgeons, and improving more lives.
Why we do this: our mission
People often ask, “What do you get out of this if you're not paid?” The answer is simple: our reward is knowing that we are helping children with facial deformities access the highest standard of care. We are driven by a deep commitment
to offering children the opportunity to live a life free from the bullying and exclusion the patients have described to us. Knowing that we are giving them a fair chance at life, opportunities, and self-confidence is the ultimate reward.
